During the financial year 2013/14 the school received £5,419 in additional sport funding. We used some of this money to pay part of the salary of our new sports HLTA, Ross Kelly, who works with children across the school leading PE lessons, after school clubs and sport lunchtime activities. This academic year Mr Kelly is working alongside teachers to help develop their skill in delivering a high quality PE curriculum.
The remaining money was used to buy into a school sport competition programme. Children took part in football, hockey, gymnastics, netball and multiskills competitions. This year more competitions are planned with local schools.
